Multi-age classrooms

Too differentiated ages in a single class may cause a lot of problems between the children. Personally, I am not for the multi-age classrooms.
The children must to communicate with persons nearly to their age. First of all, if you are younger in this type of classroom, you may not be treated too well by the ones older than you, this causing a way to exclude a child from a collective. To continue with, children with different ages have different interests. You can’t talk to a 13 years child about things that an 11 years old child would talk about. Moreover, you won’t fell very comfortable when an older child puts a nickname to a younger one. This is a again a form of exclusion.
Although there are a lot of problems, being part of a multi-age classroom has its own advantages. For example, you can learn to be more tolerant. You don’t need to be rude with everyone. In addition, you’ll learn to care about others. This will help you to have a lot of friends. Also, this helps you observe different habits at different ages, helping you to improve your own comportment.
All in all, Multi-age classrooms have their own and good parts, but is better to be careful when you choose your classmates.

Using animals for entertaining

Animals are used for entertaining people in circus, zoos and television programmes. They are forced to perform unnatural acts, to stay in cages and be wanted.
One advantage is that zoos can be educational and also help to increase the numbers of endangered species through controlled breeding programs, therefore helping the echo’s system. Also, circus animals are loved, well-treated and only perform for short periods, this making them having a very easy life. Not only, the animals used in television programmes, advertisements and films attract large audiences, so, both, technology and animals win.
On the other hand, the animals are staying in cages so the public can see them. This is unnecessary because the documentaries produced today take away the need for such places. What is more, animals are forced to perform unnatural acts for the pleasure of the public. This is making them suffering. But, also, with the new technology and special effects, there is no need to use live animals as realistic models can be used instead.
All things considered, it’s good to use animals for entertaining, but not to abuse them.

My spring break

This was one of the most boring breaks ever. I had nothing to do and I didn’t even leave the city.
On the first week I’ve only went in parks and work on a project. Almost every morning I went to school but happily I went because I wanted to. It was a project in which were involved a part of my classmates, so it was nice to work on it. When I had time in afternoons I went in park with my friends. It was a good week, but I felt like I haven’t done too many things.
The second one was the most bored. After I’ve finished my homework there was nothing else to do. I couldn’t believe but I started to don’t like watching TV or to stay on computer anymore. The days passed and I felt sorry that I couldn’t use my time and that the school was going to start soon.
On the weekend before the school started I’ve just prepare for the next week. It was simple to put the books in my schoolbag and decide what to wear on Monday. I checked all again and because all was alright I’ve only did nothing for the rest of the days.
It was a peaceful break in which I recharged for the rest of the school year. Although it was bored I really enjoyed it.

Interview

Where do you live?
I live in Bucharest.

Do you like living there? What is it like?
Yes, I like almost all the time. All the things you need are not too far: cinemas, theaters, shopping centers, libraries and museums.

What kinds of facilities are available?
Bucharest is a cultural, political, transportation and business center for Romania. Here the life of the city is challenging and vibrant day and night. You may say that the city never sleeps.

Does your city/town have sports facilities, places to eat, cultural centers?
Yes, Bucharest has a lot of sport facilities, also restaurants, fast-foods, gardens, malls. There are also cultural centers besides foreign embassies, public or private universities, science or research institutions.

How about nightlife?
Nightlife is also well represented in Bucharest: there are a lot of bars, cabarets and cafes. Especially in summer time you may find performance in open-air theatre or cinemas till later in the night.

Do you like your neighbourhood? What is it like?
Yes, I like a little. There is a large lake on Dambovita river and a few parks. But also there are stray dogs and uncivilized people, so a trip around could be not so nice.

Does it have parks and lot of green spaces?
There is just a little green space in the neighbour parks.

What would you change about your neighbourhood if you could? How do you think it could be improved?
I would like to have clean and smooth roads and pavement, no dust and no stray dogs, a lot of trees, grass and flowers and, of course, only civilized people.
