Where I’m from

I’m from sugar, I’m from tea,

I’m from sweets and melodies.

From an ocean without end,

Full of joy and melancholy.

I’m from snowdrops full of light,

From a dark and unsure future.

From the rain which is falling now

And from the sun which is shining above it.

I’m from my family tree,

From my grandparents’ grandparents,

From my mother, from my dad,

From our house in the village.
